Form 19

This form is an exploration of the classic terra cotta pot. When the two pieces are together. they form a simple cylinder. but the wide rim lifts to reveal a slightly tapered interior bowl. The cylinder is the saucer. so that the piece requires no additional tray around the base. A rich. green glaze departs from the typical orange of garden pots. and accentuates the green of the leaves. — Tung Chiang
