How can I make a single ceramic piece that is both the planter and the saucer? That is the question that inspired this design—a single form made with two layers. like a thermal cup. The inner layer has holes on the bottom which drain into the outer layer. and a spout on the upper rim enables excess water to be poured out with a gentle tilt. Plant something in this piece that loves humidity. A maidenhair or other fern thrives beautifully in this environment. — Tung Chiang
