#60 Large Teapot in Indigo with Yellow Lid

This large and stately teapot features parallel lines carved down the body of the teapot and is decorated in a rustic and mottled indigo slip. The lid and rim are decorated in a bright yellow slip for a delightful contrast to the somber indigo. After bisque firing Akio applies colored slips and then glazes the pieces with translucent matte glaze. Beautiful to see and incredible to hold.
