#52 Soba Cup in Indigo with Yellow Ring

This soba cup is simple and elegant. The rim is decorated with bright yellow slip and the sides are carved with parallel lines. The surface is decorated with a wide bande of indigo slip and a bold black foot. After bisque firing Akio applies colored slips and then glazes the pieces with translucent matte glaze. Beautiful to see and incredible to hold.
